**Who are the Orisha?**

**What are Egun?**
Egun are the ancestral spirits of one’s lineage. In the Lukumi religion (a tradition rooted in Yoruba spirituality), honoring one’s ancestors is foundational. All ceremonies and rituals begin with paying respect to the Egun, acknowledging their presence and seeking their guidance and blessings. This practice underscores the deep connection between the living and their ancestral heritage.
